Peakview Ward Halloween Party

Today was our ward Halloween Party. The kids had a great time playing on the haystacks, going on a hay ride, playing games, picking pumpkins, eating food and trunk-or-treating.

Friday Halloween Fun

Today we went in to State Farm to visit Daddy at work. The kids got loads of candy and everyone loved how cute they were. Hannah was a cat and Jacob was a Dragon.
After visiting State Farm we went to Hannah's Preschool program. They sang several songs and then Mrs. Puckett sang a song about each child and their costumes. Hannah got to "meow" during her song. The crayon is her good friend Ethan Cole.

Preschool Field Trips

So far this year Hannah has had two field trips at preschool. The first one was to a dairy. The kids got to feed animals, watch cows being milked, watch a video about cows, and eat cheese curds and drink milk. Hannah was thrilled to come home and tell me all about the cows and how the dairy worked. We have since had many discussions about cows and about the color of cows and what kind of milk they produce. For example, brown cows make chocolate milk, right?

Next the kids went to a fire station and I was able to go with them. The kids eyes were huge the entire time. We got to see where the firemen sleep (with beds that fold out of the wall), eat and exercise. Their favorite room was the kitchen/living room. The firemen had a "huge" (arms sweeping) TV and three refrigerators. Then
of course we got to go out and see the fire truck. Each kid got to sit in the front seat and "drive" the fire truck. Fire Man Jimmy told us all about fire safety and even dressed up in all of his gear so the kids would know what the firemen look like. Hopefully this experience will help the kids to not be afraid of them if they ever had to come and save them.

(Thank you Ashley for the pictures!)

Hannah's 5th Birthday!!!

Today is Hannah's 5th Birthday!!! It's hard to believe how much she is learning and growing every day. Hannah has become such a great helper and is great at doing her chores. We are so happy to have her in our family and we love the laughter and light that she brings to our home. Hannah has so much love and concern for everyone around her. She can make friends with anyone she meets and thinks that every person in the world is wonderful. Hannah, you will always be our little Princess.

We love you Hannah!

Hannah's Birthday at Preschool

Today is Hannah's 5th birthday! She was so very excited to go to preschool to be the leader, to have the class sing her a birthday song, to wear the birthday crown, and to pass out cupcakes for her treat. She was also thrilled to have Mom and Grandma visit preschool today to be helpers.
