Brent's car hit 200,000 miles today! We are so proud of his baby. It has taken very good care of us for the past 10 years. Hooray for good cars! Now hopefully we can keep this old girl alive for a while longer!

A Surprise Visit
Today was our church Regional Conference. We were able to watch a great broadcast from SLC. Grandpa & Grandma Powell participated in the same conference and had a rare afternoon off from their church callings. They decided to jump in the car and drive up to visit with us this afternoon. It was a great last-minute surprise and the kids loved it!
Jacob and Grandpa playing "Thomas" on the ipod. Jacob loves Grandpa and likes to hang out with him whenever he's around.
Hannah getting loves and tickles from Grandma.
Jacob focused on his game. Gotta love the cute button sticking out!

New School Year
Hannah started a new year of preschool on September 8th. She could hardly stand waiting through the entire summer. Everywhere we go Hannah tells people that she is in the 5+ (five-plus) class. She is so excited to be in the oldest group and feels so big. Her new teacher, Mrs. Puckett, is wonderful and does a great job with the kids. Hannah is growing and flourishing every day. A couple of days after she started Hannah said "I love school Mom! I get to learn new things every day!"
Here is a picture of Hannah that she drew on the first day of school.
Jacob has discovered the tire swing on the preschool playground. He asks to play on it every time we go to pick up Hannah.

What's At the End of A Rainbow?
We had a beautiful rainbow after our rainstorm this evening! We've been talking about Noah lately and this was a great opportunity to talk to the kids about Heavenly Father's gift and why he gave us rainbows. I always love watching this beautiful creation that Heavenly Father has given us. I also told Hannah about the pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. She thought that we should jump in the car and go and get it!
