Annual Primary Temple Trip

Today was our Primary's Annual Temple Trip. We drove down to the Denver Temple and enjoyed a tour of the grounds as well as a picnic lunch. The kids had a great time and were very excited to see the place where Mom & Dad go on dates.

Final Hurrah!

This weekend I took the kids down to Colorado Springs to spend some time with Grandpa & Grandma Powell. We thought we would get in one more trip before Preschool starts. Grandpa took us out to their storage unit to ride around on the four-wheelers and see the airplanes. The kids had a great time riding around and Grandpa even let Hannah drive!

Family Pictures

We finally got new family pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. It's been since Hannah was about 18 months old so we were definitely due for a new one. The kids did a great job and we got some great shots! I am about 7 months pregnant in this picture, so we conveniently hid my belly.

Heading Home

We had a great week in Idaho! Here is an outline of our week:

Tuesday: Drive to Idaho.

Wednesday: Idaho Falls Zoo with Grandma Luke, visit to Marybeth & kids.

Thursday: Lunch at the park, swimming with Marybeth & kids at Grandma's house.

Friday: Lunch at park, swimming with Becky & kids at Becky's house. Hannah & Ashley were quite the pair and got along great! Hannah even stayed to sleep the night on Friday. She only needed to hear Mom's voice once and went right to sleep.

Saturday: Morning trip to the temple while kids played with family. Feeding ducks with Grandma & Grandpa at the park.

Sunday: Church with Grandpa & Grandma. The kids did great in their classes. Our social bugs were excited to meet new people and didn't bat an eye at being left. We had dinner with Brent's cousin & his cute family and went for a walk and to the park.

Monday: Feeding fish at Warm River, visiting Cave Falls & lunch at Big J's (Brent was jealous!) In the evening we went to the Dance Festival Street Fest and watched the parade. The kids loved the dancers. Eric & Angela and kids arrive to visit for the week with G & G and we had a fun time catching up for the evening.

Tuesday: We drove home today!!! We had a beautiful drive past the Tetons. The kids were amazing on the drive. Whenever we would take a break they would both beg to get back in the car. They were so excited to see Daddy that they really didn't care about taking breaks. We had a joyous reunion! Daddy missed us just as much as we missed him. We had a great trip, but were all very ready to be home.

Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Luke for a great visit!!! We love you!

Dance Festival

This evening was the BYU-Idaho Dance Festival Street Fest. There were vendors up and down both sides of Main Street and the kids had a great time looking at all of the people and their things. There was a station where the local police station was promoting D.A.R.E and the kids got to sit in a police car. We had dinner, at lots of candy and even got free Popsicles! At the end of the evening was a parade that the dancers got to walk in and would dance as they went past us. We had fun and had a super stimulation overload!

Feeding Frenzy!

Today we went with Grandma Luke to the Warm River to feed the fish our old bread. They were large Rainbow fish and very aggressive! The kids had a hard time seeing the fish under the water until we stood up on the rocks on the edge of the river. There were a few times that the fish were fully jumping out of the water to fight over our bread!

Beautiful Hannah by the beautiful river.
After the fish frenzy we drove up to the Cave Falls to visit the BEAUTIFUL waterfalls! The kids were thrilled to walk up so close to the river & the falls, but it was short lived as we were getting eaten by mosquitoes. Jacob is a true boy and kept finding different sticks to play with in the water. Hannah got her feet dirty and thought it was great to wash them off in the river. She couldn't figure out how to keep them clean when we walked back to the car and insisted that she needed to go back to the river to clean them again.
